How much does a digital menu for a restaurant cost, and what is included

In short: a digital menu can cost nothing (a PDF behind a QR code) or a monthly subscription for a dedicated platform, and on top of the listed price come photos, printed QR codes and update time. Here are the cost components and Menu3D pricing in plain words.

The short answer

The cost depends on what you want guests to see. A PDF behind a QR code or the menu on your Google Business Profile costs nothing but your time. A digital menu platform is usually a monthly or yearly subscription. With Menu3D the first 3D dish costs €1 and includes 30 days, then the subscription is €29, €59 or €119 per month, depending on how many dishes you want in 3D and how many locations you have.

What the cost is made of

  • The platform: the subscription (zero for a PDF or Google profile).
  • Product visuals: photo shoots, redone when dishes change, or 3D models made by scanning.
  • Physical materials: printed QR codes, table stands, stickers.
  • Staff time: entering the menu once, then price changes, sold-out items and seasonal menus.

Menu3D pricing

Menu3D starts with a €1 offer: the first 3D dish plus 30 days of Menu3D. After that you choose a monthly or yearly plan; yearly costs the same as 10 months.

PRO€59€590501300

Monthly points pay for new 3D dishes: a real scan is 50 points, an AI model from a photo 5 points and one from a text description 3 points. Monthly points do not roll over. If you run out, a pack of 50 points costs €5 and never expires.

What is and is not included

The plan limits apply only to dishes shown in 3D. Text and photo items are unlimited. Included: the QR menu in the browser with no app, 3D and AR dishes, ingredients and the 14 EU allergens, your logo and colours, tables with their own QR codes and table ordering with live orders in the dashboard. Not included: online payment (guests pay at the restaurant) and printing the QR codes.

Which plan you need

Count the dishes you want in 3D and your locations: up to 15 dishes and one location is SMALL, up to 50 is PRO, up to 3 locations or 150 dishes is BUSINESS, and chains go to Enterprise. Most restaurants start with a few signature dishes, so the small plan is usually enough at first. See also the top 10 digital menu solutions.
